Dearest friend, 

    Although I’m an Aries (b. 4/16/1968) I’ve always has an affinity for June, it's when New England seems most alive to me. I’m really hoping you can make it, it will be divine to see you. Of course, I don’t ask for much but it is my birthday and I don’t usually make a fuss of them but I’d love if you can come if you could & I’m asking each person to bring some gift or offering: (something which I think is the real essence of celebration)

    Bring an instrument to play, a sketchpad, a poem, a song to sing, a recipe, your caring hands, an outfit (what's a birthday without a little dress up?), a story to share, a spell or some of other magick to bring us deeper together, and most of all bring your love of laughter and a sense of remembering.

    It would make my birthday extra special and of course you can also spread the love by helping Destiny in building the caretaker cabin. It’s been a dream of mine to live at Destiny as well as provide space for folks with mobility issues so sanctuary can extend to all of us. I'm hoping to raise $7,000 from this gatherette. It sounds lofty but it's actually a small amount given the number of people I know. I see it as a $20 gift from the hundreds of folks I know and obviously if you can afford more then all the better.

    As I am turning 40 this year, I'm looking at ways to both reconnect with old friends and extend my community by welcoming in those who I haven't had the pleasure of connecting with. I see this gatherette as a way to celebrate my community, my ideals, and most of all my sense of pride in knowing so many amusing people.

    But most of all I want you to come to the land and enjoy the party so we can catch up, have some fun and celebrate. I’m hoping dear friends will come to create magick, music, meals and memories by the fire. As I've said to a few people privately, I see my "call" for this gatherette as an invitation to reach into an old tradition within the Radical Faeries to call out for what they need, to cast a spell for what they desire and see if a circle forms around their ideas, intentions and dreams. I hope the "call" extends to you not only to come and participate but see what "calls" you to make up your own idea for a gathering, a circle, a workshop or merely a gentle dream in your own heart. The land and the Circle of Destiny reaches out to you to reach within.
