Listen Now!

By Daisy Shaver

What happens when you get three or four faeries in a room with a variety of musical instruments, microphones, and digital recording devices?  Magick!

Over the last year, a group of Destiny faeries has been together regularly carving out timbers, meeting and planning the Sanctuary development, and then, entertaining each other with music, song, storytelling and poetry.  Frequent visits to the land and to White River Junction, have facilitated a budding musical circle of Destinettes.

For me personally, I am surprised and excited at the music I am making with the Destiny Faeries.  As we explore different instruments and types of music together, we witness a whole other way of communicating, entertaining, and enriching unfold.  I get pretty jazzed when I hear our music as it is fresh to our ears and from our hearts.  We make music like we have circle—attention to each individual.  The music we have been making is taking the Drum Circle to a lovely new dimension.  It is rich with loving vibe.

The Faerie Home Companion is brewing from this faerie exploration.  Jade and Daisy vision a fall fund-raiser show that will be a parody of the famous radio show of similar name.  We seek to pay homage to the homespun arts of music-making, talk, storytelling, and skits that come from the classic radio broadcast—only with a twist.

To begin playing with the notion of “broadcast media” Jade is distilling our first two episodes of the Faerie Home Companion. The player is located on this site under Podcasts and Faerie Home Companion.  You can listen right from our website. Or you can download the podcast to your favorite listening device. We will set this up so you can be notified when new episodes come out.

Over the next year, Jade and Daisy will be tapping many of you to come to one of our jam sessions or to be interviewed about a topic a mutual interest.  Submissions considered.  Contact us: Jade This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   or Daisy This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
